 Settlement Room Pricing
By: Darin "Sid" Cameron, CRS

Was talking to an agent about Settlement Room and they asked me how it compares in pricing to other solutions, so I just dug out my notes from when I purchased it.

I narrowed my search down to Settlement Room and another product called TransactionPoint by Fidelity Software.  The products honestly look a lot a like.
However both products have small advantages and disadvantages (see my posts from a few months ago about it).

Neither application appeared to take a lot to set up.  I see no reason why an agent couldn't be up and running with it within a week of purchase.

If it comes down to pricing, I think that slightly favors Settlement Room.

Settlement Room charges by the transaction which you buy in blocks:

10

Transactions

$199.50

20

Transactions

$299.00

75

Transactions

$596.25

300

Transactions

$1,485.00

One advantage I saw with the Settlement Room is that an agent can buy 10 transactions for $199 to test it out and then make a larger investment if they're still 100% in love with it.  At 75 transactions, that’s $7.95 per transaction- which is what I purchased.

TransactionPoint, on the other hand, is a monthly fee of $24.95* per month with a $299.00 set up fee. That’s $600 for the first year (which is equal to 75 transactions with Settlement Room).  Since I would estimate that we will do 50 transactions in the next 12 months, Settlement Room comes out to be less expensive.

There's obviously a point where TransactionPoint comes out ahead, but I'm nowhere near it....
