Voter Registration Reminder
The St. Charles County Election Authority reminds residents that October 11 is the last day to register to vote and be eligible to vote in the November 7 General Election. St. Charles County residents can register at any local library, any Department of Motor Vehicles location, or at the Election Authority office located in the St. Charles County Administration Building at 201 N Second Street in St. Charles. St Louis City and County residents may also check with any local library, any Department of Motor Vehicles location, or at an Election Authority office. [ More ]

Paint a Park in St. Charles County
The St. Charles County Parks Department has announced registrations are now being accepted for the Third Annual Paint Your County Parks event held from September 30 to October 28. Artists in the competition will showcase their Open Air painting skills by detailing the beautiful landscapes and scenes from any of the St. Charles County parks that are open to the public. [ More ]

Bad Dog? Obedience Training in St. Charles
The St. Charles County Parks Department is hosting an eight-week obedience training class for puppies and dogs this fall at Shelter #6 in Quail Ridge Park. Led by an experienced animal behavior specialist, the one-hour classes will run every Sunday from September 10 through October 29 and emphasize basic problem-solving skills and positive motivation to teach proper behavior. While residents in the St. Louis metro area survey damage from Wednesday's storm, Attorney General Jay Nixon says to watch out for scam artists. Nixon says thieves known as “storm chasers” target hard-hit areas claiming to offer home-repair services.
