Greetings!
Back in 2004 I was looking for a website discussion group that was strictly local to the St. Louis, Missouri area. When I couldn't find one that wasn't dominated by spam, I decided to start this one.
Over the years this Forum took on a life of it's own and transformed itself a few times over- even spawning a second Forum dedicated to St. Louis investment real estate in 2006. However in 2008, moderating out the spam and managing the security updates had become more time consuming than I could handle. So both Forums were "temporarily" shut down.
Last December, I received news that there was a major update of the Forum's software and it appeared it would be easier to manage. So as of today, Jan 14, 2010 this forum is officially back online!
However with the rise of Facebook and other Social Media services along with the increasing popularity of websites like Craigslist, I'm not exactly sure if the community-oriented topics of a few years ago are relevant or even needed today.
So I have decide to start fresh and have purge all the old discussion threads from the past. For the time being I'm going to keep it simple and just talk about what I know best- local real estate and if anyone has suggestions on additional topics they would like to see added or how I can make it better, please feel free to contact me with your ideas.
If you were an old user of this Forum, your user names and passwords should still be active.
