Losing an Assistant

Kim was talking to an agent we know who thinks her main assistant is going to leave her.  She's in panic trying to figure out how she's going to replace her.

If you're in the same situation, here's my advice.

You can always use a Virtual Assistant(s) for the stuff that requires real estate knowledge and skills and bring in temp people for lower level functions until you get a new person in place and trained.

We had a full-time transaction coordinator in-house and replaced her with a VA who specializes in transaction management.  I think our service actually got better even as we brought our costs down (significantly) because the VA was so much more knowledgeable and efficient.  The thing with VA's is to look for people who specialize in certain tasks because the "we do everything" people usually stink at everything.

Hope this helps someone.
